An ESOP is an Employee Stock Ownership Plan. It is a defined retirement plan that meets ERISA guidlines. Employees have an ownership allocation in the company through a stock trust. Although the option has been around for decades, it has recently been made even more attractive through legislation, offering more benefits to employees and companies, which in turn translate to benefits to the customer.

PMI became a 100% ESOP owned company June 30th, 2014.
